By contributing to other authoritative blogs in your industry, you get the chance to prove your credibility as an information source.
It will make your target audience more confident in approaching you when they know that you are an expert and authority in your field.
In fact, most of the popular blogger and marketer often showcase websites where they have been featured as social proof to prove their authority and expertise.

In case if your new to the term backlinks – Google and other popular search engine consider backlinks as a vote of confidence.
That means the more links you will get from unique domains, the more search engine believes your content marketing efforts are useful and valuable.

If you are a blog owner, having good content writing skill is super important. Guest blogging is an excellent way to refine your writing skill.
See, as far as I have experienced when you write for a big authority site in your niche, you push yourself higher to deliver content that is both valuable and extremely well written.

How to find Killer Guest Posting sites?
Want to find more sites in your niche which accept guest posts?
Below I’ve shared some techniques that will help you find more and more new guest posting opportunities. In fact, these are the same techniques I have used to find all the guest posts sites mentioned in this blog post.
#1. Use Google Search Strings
Using search strings like “keyword” + “write for us” is one of the most popular ways to find new guest posting blogs in your niche.
Here is an example:
Here are the 25 more search strings that you can use to look for sites which accept guest posts
- Your Keyword “guest post”
- Your Keyword “write for us”
- Your Keyword “guest article”
- Your Keyword “this is a guest post by”
- Your Keyword “contributing writer”
- Your Keyword “want to write for”
- Your Keyword “submit blog post”
- Your Keyword “contribute to our site”
- Your Keyword “guest column”
- Your Keyword “submit content”
- Your Keyword “submit your content”
- Your Keyword “submit post”
- Your Keyword “This post was written by”
- Your Keyword “guest post courtesy of ”
- Your Keyword “guest posting guidelines”
- Your Keyword “suggest a post”
- Your Keyword “submit an article”
- Your Keyword “contributor guidelines”
- Your Keyword “contributing writer”
- Your Keyword “submit news”
- Your Keyword “become a guest blogger”
- Your Keyword “guest blogger”
#2. Google Reverse Image Search
This is one of the unique technique which I learned from Brian dean’s Backlinko blog.
Here’s exactly what you need to do:
First of all, find someone in your niche who writes a lot of guest posts. (recommended to select a person with similar audience size and authority level)
For example, Anil Agarwal from Bloggers passion is one of the people I am following from a long time, he has appeared on many sites in blogging and marketing space.
Second, grab the URL of the profile photo they use in their author bio:
And finally, pop that link into Google reverse image search.
You will instantly be presented with almost every site he has ever posted on.
#3. Visit Alltop.com
Have you ever visited Alltop.com?
People often refer it as an internet library where you can get the lists of best blogs around the web by niche.
Here’s how you can use it for Guest Posting purpose:
Head over to alltop.com, enter your niche related keyword and sit back as this glorious site washes over you with its list of the best sites in your niche.
Now create a spreadsheet of sites related to your niche, then use a tool like Hunter to find emails to contact those sites, and finally start pitching your guest post ideas.
It is important to note that not every blog listed on Alltop will be publicly open for guest post. But still, I will suggest reaching out to all relevant blogs and see if they accept your request.
#4. Reverse Engineer Your Competitor’s Backlinks – My Favorite technique
Spying on your competitor’s backlink profile is one of the easiest ways to find websites that accept guest posts in your niche.
See, Your competitors have already done the hard work! you just need to follow their step and find the right site.
With a good SEO tool like SEMrush, you can easily explore the backlinks your competitor has received. As well as identifying those links which are made through guest posting is also very easy.
Here’s how it practically works:
Open SEMrush tool > head over to backlink analysis tool appearing under domain analytics tab > enter your competitor’s website URL > Click enter.
For example, I entered Adam Enfroy’s website URL (One my favorite guy who is supremely talented in scaling link building with guest posting and bloggers outreach)
On the next screen, SEMrush will show you some important metrics of your competitor’s site like Authority score, Referring domain, Total number of backlinks, monthly organic traffic of site, and number of the total keywords the site is ranking in SERP.
In our example, Adam has received more than 68k backlinks from more than 2k unique domains.
Now, as we want to check all the link source of this site, so just switch to backlinks tab.
Once you are in the backlink tab, apply the “Follow” filter to see only Do-Follow backlinks of the site.
Here you can add one more filter to show only those links whose anchor contains author name, this will help you see only those links which are created via guest posting (As author name anchor is generally associated with guest post author bio)
And here you go…
It does not take me even 5 minutes to find more than 10-15 high-quality Guest posting sites in my niche.
The best part about this strategy is that you can find sites that aren’t openly advertising the fact that they accept guest posts.
(In other words, sites that does not have made any public page or form to submit guest posts).
And yes, SEMrush also has a free trial, through which you can use this amazing tool for free of cost.
Final thoughts on free guest posting sites for 2020
So there you have it, folks.
I hope this conclusive guide will help you grab some killer guest posting opportunities.
One last thing – I am aiming to make this guide a one-stop-shop for finding guest posting opportunities.
If you know any popular blog in any niche that accept guest post, please let me know in the comments, I will add it here…
