Unfortunately, most people still don’t think of blogging as a mainstream career option. Because the Indian society is very conservative and Work from home (blogging) is still not culturally appropriate.
Today I will tell you about 17 Popular bloggers in India who are pursuing blogging as their mainstream career and made their name in not just India but globally.

01. Amit Agarwal
Amit holds an Engineering degree in Computer Science from I.I.T. Roorkee and was previously working as a software developer at ADP Inc. for clients including Goldman Sachs.
Amit Agrawal is of the first few Indian Blogger who started professional blogging in a true sense.
In 2004, he quits his corporate job and started his first blog known as Labnol.
Labnol is one of the best tech blogs in India which covers how-to guides around consumer software and mobile apps. The purpose of his tech site is to help the normal user take maximum advantage of software and web technologies they use on a day-to-day basis.
In 2020, Labnol is a hugely popular blog that is visited by more than 4 million people every month.
It has won the “Best Technology Blog” award twice at Indibloggers. Over time, Labnol has been also featured in some famous publications like India Today, Business World, Outlook Magazine, and CNN Go.
His Google add-ons for Docs, Sheets, Slides and Google Forms are deployed in some of the biggest companies and universities worldwide with over 1,000,000 installations.

02. Harsh Agrawal
Harsh Agarwal – A well-known name in not just Indian but global blogging Industry.
After graduating from Sharda University, he was placed in one of the top multinational professional services company “Accenture.” But his passion for blogging and dream of living 9-5 job free life made him quit his full-time job and take Blogging as a profession.
In December 2008 he Started ShoutMeLoud, where he used to write about usual tech stuff.
Later on, he was surprised to know that blogging could make him 10-20x more money than what a normal person gets in a corporate job. He was wondering why nobody told him earlier that he could follow his passion and make money.

Anand Khanse, the man who proved age is no bar to succeed in the world of blogging.
Anand is the Fountainhead of The Windows Club, a blog dedicated to one of the biggest operating systems in the world “Windows”.
His passion for computer and technology made him launch ‘The windows club’ on 20th April 2009. His main aim behind starting his own blog was to help amateur users to fix their Windows problems on their own.

05. Nandini Shenoy
Here come another very successful women in our list of top bloggers in India. Nandini Shenoy, the brain behind India’s leading entertainment publication “PinkVila“.
Nandini was raised in a family full of talented engineers in Mangalore (Karnataka). She completed her primary education from her home city and went on to the National Institute of Technology, Karnataka (NITK).
Then she moved to the US for her Master’s in ECE from Rutgers University. After completing her degree she joined Microsoft, Redmond as a software engineer.
Since her childhood, Nandini was fascinated by Bollywood movies and film stars. But while working in the US, she felt that no Indian website was helping her updated with the latest happenings of Bollywood celebrities. This is when the idea of “Pinkvilla” came into her mind.
With her expertise in software and technologies, she created a site where any user could register and create posts. (Basically, an open-to-all forum where people could discuss their favourite stars and movies)
Within a few months, users on the site started growing mainly through word of mouth and its discovery via Orkut and Google searches.
According to one of her Interviews – The year 2009 was her turning point when some pictures of Sonam Kapoor posted on her blog went viral and a leading magazine company, (Hindustan Times) contacted her to use those pictures.
In 2010, when she felt that Pinkvilla was at a stage where it had enough traction and revenue, she left her job at Microsoft and started working full-time on her blog.
Currently, her website is very profitable and has ongoing deal with almost all major movie production houses for ads and promotion.

06. Pritam Nagrale
Remember the famous quote by Robert F. Kennedy – “Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly.” Pritam is a live example of converting failure into Success.
Pritam was born and brought up in Kota, Rajasthan. After completing his Engineering degree from LIT Nagpur, he shifted to Mumbai in search of a job.
Somehow he landed a job but he was not happy with his monthly salary getting from 9-5 job. So, he started searching for online jobs to make side income.
According to one of his interview, he started making good side income online with online surveys, click bank, eBay and PTC sites.
After working on many online odd jobs, In 2009, he came to know that “Blogging” is a good source to make money online.
Technology blogs were trend at that time, so he started a tech blog named “technocian.com” which was a big failure because he has not any idea of writing articles.
In 2010, he created another blog named “onlinejobreview.in” which was related to money-making ideas, unfortunately, he failed with this blog too.
In 2011, His third blog “jobs8home.com” got little success but unfortunately, it got penalized by google.
SureJobs cover articles related to education & career while and Money connexion provides legit information for making money online.
According to one of his interviews published on Satish K Videos youtube channel (watch interview), he earns $25,000/mo with both his blog.
07. Abhijeet Mukherjee
Abhijeet is a full time Delhi based professional blogger. After completing his college (Delhi Univesrity), he started working in a call center.
He used to work with reputed companies like Wipro and Dell, where his job was to solve people’s tech problems over the phone.
According to one of his interview “one day, while reading a newspaper article on Sabeer Bhatia (founder of Hotmail), he came across the word ‘blog’ in the article and that aroused his curiosity for blogging.”
As he always wanted to do something on the internet, and most importantly become self-employed. That’s when he decided to quit his full-time job and started his personal blog called Jeet Blog. He used to publish tech-related content on his personal blog.
After two years of dabbling around and trying a lot of things on the internet, he decided to quit his personal blog and create a long term asset. That’s when he started Guiding Tech in 2010.

08. Arun Prabhudesai
Arun Prabhudesai, the man who needs no introduction when it comes to Blogging and Startup Ecosystem of India.
After working nearly 12 years in IT industry across three continents, he came back to India because he wanted to start something of his own.
In 2007 he started a tech blog named “trak.in” to keep himself, and in the process also the readers, intouch with latest Indian Business and Startup Buzz.
Over the past more than a decade, Trak.in has grown tremendously. Started from an single authored blog to having a team of expert writers who publish their columns on trak.in.

09. Pardeep Goyal
Pardeep Goyal is a finance geek, content marketing expert, and a growth consultant for early-stage startups.
After completing his education, he started working in a reputed IT company. Though he was getting paid well, but unhappy with the work culture.
After working for more than 7 years in the IT sector, he quits his job and started a small software company by investing all his savings.

In 2010, he decided to quit his IT job to dedicate his full time to his blog. In the last 10 years, he has written well over 3000 articles on topics ranging from Windows to databases.
Currently, his blog gets around 3.8 million page views a month and is growing rapidly.
His another blog “Help desk geek” has also become a popular site receiving more than 3 million page views every month.
11. Kulwant Nagi
Kulwant Nagi belongs to a small town called Fatehabad in Haryana, India.
He completed his formal education from his home city itself. Later he did Diploma in Electronics and Communication from a very reputed college in Haryana.
During his Bachelor’s degree, he prepared for the GRE and TOEFL exam to get admission for masters in USA. Luckily, he cleared both the exam and got selected in 6 reputed university of USA. One University also offered him a $16,000 scholarship.
Later, he found that his father is not financially able to afford his US education, so he dropped the plan to go to USA and started working as a verification engineer in India.
Initially, he liked his day job, but soon he found himself enclosed in the corporate world and decided to quit his job. After quitting his job, he started finding money-making opportunities on the internet and came to know about Blogging.
He created his first blog “KulwantNagi.com” in September 2011 where he used to write about MLM and network marketing.
After working on his personal blog for a few months, he started developing more interest in blogging. So on 15th January 2012, he registered the domain BloggingCage.com and rest is history.

12. Amit Bhawani
If you are an avid reader of technology blog, then you might be already knowing “Amit Bhawani”. His is the man behind Famous technology blog “Phone Radar“.
Amit is a full time Hyderabad based Indian blogger who entered into online world in the year 2004.
He used to run a Web Development Company (Digital World Solutions) at Hyderabad – India with a strong team of 7 people. His company was offering SEO & Web development Services to clients mainly catering towards US & UK.
Apart from running his web development company, he was also running a personal blog “Amitbhawani.com” Where was publishing articles on topics like technology, career, and Indian News.
After working for various websites and business for more than 7-8 years, he thought he should create something of his own and implement his SEO skills on own projects because in that case he could make the most of his hard works and would not have to worry about clients.
So In 2014, he created a tech blog called “Phone Radar”. As technology niche has been very saturated from a long time, So he’s chosen a specific segment of the market “Smartphones” and differentiated himself from other technology blogs.
Apart from his tech blog, he also has a YouTube channel on the same name with more than a million subscribers.
13. Anil Agarwal
Anil Agarwal is a professional blogger from Gurgaon, India and well know for his blog “Bloggers Passion”.
After completing his Master degree in computer he started working as an SEO professional. After working for few years in the SEO field, he realized the true potential of blogging.
As everyone else does, he started with free blogs on Blogspot platform. After working for few years on his blogspot, he got a better understanding of the blogging industry.
So in 2010, he decided to create a self hosted blog named “Bloggers passion”. His main goal behind starting this blog was to help newbie bloggers in their blogging journey so that they can do well with their own blogs.
Over the years, Bloggers Passion has been featured on Forbes.com, Huffingtonpost, Semrush, Problogger and Jeffbullas to name a few. According to his last year income report, he is making over $100k every year.

14. Dassana Amit
Dassana is one of the India’s most popular female food blogger.
She is professionally trained in cooking, baking and confectionery as she has done her graduation in home science. After completing her degree, she also worked as an intern in a five star hotel.
In Feb 2009, she started her blog “vegrecipesofindia.com” to keep a log (online journal) of her family recipes.
In an interview she said “It was on the insistence of my husband “Amit” that I started maintaining this online journal. Of course I had no idea back then that vegrecipesofindia would grow so much and become India’s most popular food blog.”
In the span of 9 Years, she has published more than 1800 vegetarian recipes on her blog which makes it one of the largest collection of pure Indian vegetarian recipes.
All her recipes are tried & tested and presented with step by step tutorial along with pictures and short videos.
15. Piunika Sharma
Piunika Sharma is an Electronics Engineer by profession, but has experience of working in several field – be it software coding, HR management, or technical writing.
She started her blog “PiunikaWeb” in 2017 with an aim to offer complex tech-related information in a way that any non-techy guy can easily understand it.
Being working in one of the most saturated blogging niche, she stand out from the crowd in the sense that usually her site break news stories that you’ll not find anywhere in the mainstream tech media.

His day-to-day work includes crunching a lot of data in spreadsheet and creating reports from it. Because of his work he was constantly learning new things about spreadsheet from online courses and free videos.
